Een onveranderde herdruk in: Transactions of the Korea Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society Vol. IX, 1918, met "foreword" onderteekend door den president Mark Napier Trollope, Bishop in Corea, waarin twijfel wordt uitgesproken, of het herdrukte exemplaar zonder titelblad uit de collectie Churchill was of uit een der hierna beschrevene.

In de Appendix op p. 37-40:

An Account of the Shipwreck of a Dutch Vessel upon the Coast of the Isle of Quelpaert; with a Description of the Kingdom of Corea in the East Indies. Also of the tedious Captivity of 36 Men, who got ashore upon that Isle; and of the Escape of 8 of 'em to Japan, and thence to Holland. First publish'd in that Country by the Clerk of the Ship, who was one of them that escap'd: since Translated and Abridg'd.

Het verkorte verhaal vermeldt de schipbreuk, op reis van Batavia naar Japan, en eindigt met den terugkeer in Holland op 20 Juli 1668. Daarop volgt de beschrijving van Corea, eveneens zeer verkort, zonder de olifanten en krokodillen.
